The purpose of the Head of Advisory Unit Organisational Development position is to provide strategic direction for and carry out the implementation of organisational development and change management processes aimed towards strengthening the organisational culture and fostering a dynamic organisational structure in order to improve the effectiveness of the organisation. The incumbent will work in close consultation with the organisation’s Management team (as well as the department’s one) to ensure the effective implementation of change processes.

In your role you will

  • Lead the design and implementation of strategies, projects and activities for organisational improvement
  • Lead change management initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous organizational learning and development
  • Build understanding, identification, and ownership from a wide range of diverse stakeholders on organisational change goals and identify implications for their work
  • Provide guidance to the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Lead to ensure change management processes are incorporated into the EDI dossier and their approach creates a successful and respectful work environment
  • Develop a framework for monitoring progress on organisational development priorities in line with the organisation’s strategic goals
  • Lead initiatives within MSF-G with regards to cultural and collaborative aspects
  • Advise the Management Team to align organisational objectives with resource planning
  • Collaborate closely with Head of Units in the HR department on topics where in-depth exchange is needed

You Have

  • Relevant academic degree or equivalent significant experience within the area
  • Experience in organisational development, strategy, change management.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Complete fluency in written and oral English as well as good knowledge of German
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, flexible and an effective organiser
  • Experience in humanitarian or non-profit contexts desired

  • Payment according to a transparent internal salary structure; in this position according to group 6 with full-time employment (40h/week) from 4.638 Euro to a maximum of 5.870 Euro, depending on the relevant professional experience
