MSF is an independent international medical relief organisation, with 28 offices worldwide. When large-scale epidemics occur, when areas in crisis are too dangerous for many other organisations, then our medical teams are there to assist the affected population. We organise basic medical care, treat the injured, carry out vaccination campaigns, train local staff and build up medical infrastructure. In long-term aid projects our teams fight diseases like tuberculosis, malaria, sleeping sickness, and HIV/AIDS.

Supply Logistician

tasks and responsibilities

Sometimes things don’t turn out the way they were planned – that’s when we depend on your skills the most.

As a supply chain manager with our projects, you will ensure the stability of the supply chain so that the required materials are consistently available in exactly the quantities needed. Procurement is remarkably diverse and covers a wide range of products and materials such as medicines, construction materials, fuel, hygiene products and other consumables, furnishings and food. You and your team are not only responsible for procurement on site, in cooperation with your colleagues in the capital, you will also coordinate the transportation and storage of the materials procured there as well as international deliveries from MSF’s large logistics centers. Deliveries across impassable terrain or through unsafe regions are also not uncommon.

Part of your work may also include ensuring customs clearance for international orders. In consultation with the various work areas of the project, you will also ensure forward-looking and adequate warehousing. You will be supported by an experienced team of employees, whose training and guidance will also be part of your duties.
